A quiet weekend, a new mural for Park Royal.

A quiet weekend on the industrial estate gave me the time and headspace to paint a new mural for the area. This one’s tucked away on Dagar Road — a simple ring that seems to float across the white wall, wrapping around a structural pillar like it’s hovering in space.

The illusion comes from the soft grey shadow behind it, which helps lift the form just enough to play tricks on the eye. From the right spot, it feels like the shape is suspended mid-air — something unreal sitting perfectly within the real world.

This is one of several murals I’ve painted across Park Royal over the years. Each one is a subtle interruption in the everyday landscape — part of a quiet effort to bring colour, abstraction, and a sense of curiosity to these working streets.

Painted by hand, using just a few colours and a steady brush, this piece continues my exploration of forms in space — and how a simple shape can transform a surface when placed with intention.
